PARASHA REEH- What is a curse?

PARASHA REEH: YOU WILL FIND THE COMPLETE BOOK HERE

"Deuteronomy 7:12 See that I am setting before you today blessings and curses.

"The root of "curse klalah קְּלָלָה" spells with the letters kufק , lamedל , lamed ל "kalal קלל": "shining, bright light". Curse is like a luminous warning destined to make us aware of our mistake. But a light too bright can blind us; our mind may not understand the reasons for the curse. There have been blessings and curses in everything since original sin: in food, there are permissible things that beget blessings, and forbidden things that beget curses; in relationships between men and women: permissible and forbidden; in business, permissible and forbidden etc. So, HaShem will warn us, stop us if we're going down a forbidden path. It's actually a blessing!"
